Stop messaging admins at ridiculous times and getting mad when we don't respond.
Steam is GLITCHY.
Sometimes we ARE NOT even on, but all of us have steam mobile app.
All you're doing is pissing us off at 3,4,5 in the morning.
That will NOT get you the result you want.
PLEASE make a post on the forums, and we will deal with the offender/issue in the morning.
Sorry, your gameplay at an ungodly time in the morning was interrupted, but we are not your "banning bots".
Repeated offenders(to me)will be blocked outright.
Sorry, but it's getting really fucking old.

I agree, instead of dragging admins on at night, players should record demos then make a report form. All you need to do is type status in the console to get the troublemakers ID, go to a steam id finder and get the steam id 2 format which is required for the report form. While you are finding this have a demo recording by going into the console once again and type record demoname with no spaces. Once you got enough type stop and this will save the demo in your tf2 folder. Now all you need is get a download link for the demo so report handlers can watch them. (I personally prefer to use mediafire.) Once you have all the info (Your name, your steam id [version 2], the troublemaker's name and steam id [version 2]), fill out the report form. Describe your the problem and link demo under the evidence. If the demo is long I recommend giving a tick number so the report handler knows when the problem is. I'd also like to apologize to all the admins that get dragged on when they are trying to do other stuff or just trying to rest.

I second this. I am tired of people coming to me asking for me to deal with someone when I am clearly on snooze or add me just to report things. We have a /report bot for a reason, and we also have a report sub-forum for a reason. And Team Fortress 2 has a neat little command AND many HUDs come with it built in. record (name here);stop. It helps you record demos so then you can properly report a hacker, micspammer, scammer, etc. etc. If you want, you can also watch it! playdemo (name here). Another thing, DO NOT BUG THE OWNER. HE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING AND IT WILL ONLY ANNOY HIM. Unless an admin is abusing his powers, or Varg Vikernes is on the server, PISS OFF! Thank you for bringing this up.

You know what's laughable? How posting this on the forums where only slightly-above fetus level intelligence is baseline and where most people here are either admins or are active enough in the community and mature enough (although still not very mature) to not have been forum banned even seems remotely helpful.

It is another thread that will swiftly be abdicated of any readers and maybe the garrulous and the attention-needing will come to pick the bones of a thread so futile and vacuous it makes me wonder whether this thread was made so that our current admins and the original poster felt that their plight fell not on deaf ears.

In short, you've made a thread that presumes anyone other than the audience existing in the forums would be aware of, somehow forming some doppler of many other threads that are just lonely echo chambers-or rather chasms. The ubiquity of these cookie-cutter insert-problem-here threads is frightening.

Honestly threads regarding community based issues have never worked out well for anyone. It's about as useful as a change.org petition.

The community is a constantly shifting organism, members who've taken this thread into account will move on with time and new clueless users will flock in. Not to mention half the community isn't even active on the forums.

If you really wanna deal with the problem, turn off your steam notifications when you go to bed.

That requires too much effort while making a thread about it being more of a "me" problem than everyone else's problem
(then it dies out/no one gives a shit and continues to be stupid) takes minimal effort.

Or just go offline on Steam so people know for certain you're not available.
And, surprise surprise, reports are a thing.

Message me anytime. I'm here to help. I may not come on, but I will do all in my power to make sure someone else can come on.
