If I get banned forever on the forums...

[Penguin's appeal]

So yeah. A lot of stuff has been talked about around me for the past couple days and I want to clear it up.

• I did get forum banned for making an alt and shitposting.
  • why did I do it?
  • That is what I saw in the other 5000 applications, other than the people who deserve administration such as @Spits, @Tricky, and @ApexPredator436
• I did mass freekill, admin impersanate, and cheat.
  • I was fed up with the way admins used the server as a play house.
  • Was this right?
  • Absolutely Not
• I did get @Versity demoted
  • I took a video of him letting me go on the server to free kill and hack
  • I feel like a massive dick for it, but I would want it to be done for me if I was an admin

I approved this because I thought it would clear some air.
Your forum account will be banned swiftly, however, if given the directions to, since you're evading several other forum bans.
You were fed up with how admins used the server as a playhouse
therefore you went on, hacked, impersonated, and freekilled as if that improved the situation to any degree.
Perhaps reports and discussions could've gotten you somewhere.
That's like saying "screw diplomacy, let's bomb it"...

Althought he did something wrong.. The ban shouldn't be perma... At least make it 1 month... We love penguin.... or at least I do.

Let's add up the numbers here. I assume hacking a very long ban. If not permanent. The least I could imagine the admins reducing that too would be like two months if not more. Impersonating an admin isn't a very bad thing and I believe it's a warning if not a little ban if you do it. Or maybe I'm wrong. So let's say that he did it excessively and assume it's one week ban for that. But then there is mass freekill. That is a 3 day ban. So at the end of the day I could only imagine he wouldn't want to wait this long. After all I'm not in charge around here at all. But at the end of the day even if they do reduce the ban time it's going to be a long wait on his behalf.

So what you were telling me earlier is that the admins weren't fun and were too serious, you've contradicted that by agreeing with Penguin who thinks they used the servers as a playhouse which would imply the opposite.
It just doesn't make any logical sense.
BTW A mass freekill is a week-month depending on the situation.

If it ain't logical it isn't sense now is it? Well I honestly feel like admins should be a bit playful and a bit serious. I mean if they are too serious then I don't know if they realize that it's a game where people are supposed to have fun. But at the end of the day the admins on SG usually aren't serious and have fun or mess around with their powers which they tend to regret. But I mean I have to say that penguin should have reported these admins or made a point. Hell he could have made a general post pointing out the bad stuff in our community. Making an alt account, impersonating, freekilling, and hacking are not good ways to get someones point across and never will be a good way.

If you read my appeal @SNC, I talked about how my offical ban was making an alternative and shit posting. In my appeal, I do not talk about the hacking because, as you said recently, Forum and game are separate.

Usually, but in certain cases they are not. Certain horrendous acts deserve a cross-over.

There's always a balance needed. Versity is the type of guy that wants to have fun by making trouble. That's not the good kind of fun.

Just because other people do it, doesn't make it right.

He's not actually saying that in that way, he's saying ''if admins do it, why can't we", not the same. If the leaders of a country steal, why shouldn't the people? Admins are supposed to be an example, that's what he meant.

We can't give old members extra lives and then just put down the new ones. If the old member is being bad then we treat them as we would a new member. New members can grow into well known and respected members of SG just as well as old members can. But giving these people extra chances and better treatment is really unfair don't you guys think?

I really do want to support penguin on this but this stuff isn't okay. He must have known the consequences of this so now he might as well own up to them. If the admins decide to lower the time of the perma ban then they will but it more then likely will be a long time. A very long time.

They haven't.
They just meme, annoy people.
Nothing is good with most of them around.
Cause I've "seen it".
All of the old members, slowly but surely, just go and stop playing, then make bold claims that things are shit while not playing at all, abused their positions in the past and think since they can't get away with it they may as well freekill, leave, annoy people, spam memes, and nothing ever changes. They want to preserve a primitive old way that should be forgotten, because a community evolves. The older members were shed off because of that very process.
There are some old members we still have that understand this and have evolved themselves, or simply weren't invasive, intrusive, or problematic in the first place.
So don't talk about the old members as if they were gods that need some kind of praise.
They weren't.
They were just like you and me, although they can't get away with the shit they pulled back then, and are annoyed by it.
