[Suggestion] Add 4 bots on LowGrav crits server

Hi

I play a lot in LowGrav server and i think adding 4 bots would help "breaking the ice" when there are no players in the server. Nobody joins an empty server, but hey, if there are some bots to kill while waiting for more players.. it makes it less boring, so chances are that server will always have someone playing.
Of course, bots would leave as more players enter. This server (164.132.202.2:27018) fastpath does it, everytime a player joins, it kicks a bot.

Several issues in this:
1. Players can see how many bots are on the server in server browser
2. Bots most likely have to be afk, they have perfect aim other wise.
3. I know of servers that do this, but the bots, unlike reason 2, actually perform actions that the server intends. Ex. Glubbable's servers have 5 bots join a single player and help them (even though they're idiots).

Of course, having bots in general would help a server fill up, though I don't know how many people would enjoy farming bots...

Regardless, could look into it.

1. Is that an issue?
2. I see it as a challenge rather than an issue
3. Whenever one team wins, everything resets, so isn't an issue no?

I think there are more chances of people spending time farming bots rather than just being there doing nothing because there is nothing to do :S

The way i play tf2 is:
1. Open the game
2. Check if there are players in sg-gaming crit server
2.1 If true -> Join the server
2.2 Else -> Close the game

I tried being there doing nothing while waiting for someone to join, but it's boring as fuck.

I could be wrong but wont the bots capture the objectives? Having capping players while your trying to deathmatch is bad enough, imagine 4 cappers your cant persuade :eek:

One bot will get kicked everytime a player joins the game. So you will hardly be having deathmatch + capping bots at the same time as there will only be max 2 per team ;)

Anyway, in this server, when players start dying too many times, they attempt to cap in order to "win". So it wont make much difference from normal experience.

Not actually a bad idea.
It actually isn't*, I remember year ago there were bots that had the cosmetics of previous players who joined. It was really enjoyable and having a low number really would serve to just do something dumb meanwhile.

I'd say so long as their difficulty aren't set to something high then it'd be ok.

Still generally don't like the idea, personally I don't like playing against bots and being greeted by x number of bots instead of real people is a let down for me.. I suppose it never hurts but still feel as if it's not entirely necessary.

The thing is that that's not true. If you're greeted by bots, its because there are no real players. And as you said, on server list they are not listed as players, so you won't join thinking "oh there are real players" :)

Thank you for adding them!

Here's some feedback:
- Medic bots don't leave the base, i don't know if it will happen with any other class (engineers do leave)
- Engis always go camp the second cap point (for me its okay, i even discovered that when blocking their main spawns they will use the bottom floor exit)

Is it possible to restrict some classes? just to see if with soldier for example they will go rush rather than camp / stay in the base.

Edit: Medics will leave the base if they find any player near, so they can start following him
