PC Build Draft, Open to Opinions and Input.

Hey, there.

I'm planning to build a setup with a max budget of $750* (can be made flexible if some parts are hard to get and/or expensive at most retailers) and I wanted to get the community's views about this whole thing. Aside from getting a first-hand experience at building a PC, the main goal is to get a setup that performs well with games that are normally taxing on frames without skimping too much on graphics or overclocking issues with the MOBO.

Currently, the setup is to include:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus PRIME B450M-A/CSM Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
SSD: Crucial P2 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB WINDFORCE Video Card (Very much subject to change and alternatives, this has been a pain in the dick)
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower Case (Debating on getting a back fan or just leaving it as is)
PSU: Corsair CV 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
OS: Windows 10 (Might just knock this out since there's the USB booting option)

List on PCPartMaker (As of 01/07/2021, the combined price excluding the graphics card is $626.16)

If you only plan on playing games like tf2 or rust (what i play). Drop the 2060, mostly because now the price is really high atm. try to downgrade a 1660 super and get a Ryzen 3600x. these will get you 100+ frames in a lot of modern games.

You don’t need to downgrade. just a recommendation on current gpu prices atm. if you’re really patient you could just wait for the gpu prices to drop down.

And if you can with the money left over, get urself a sexy Kraken X53. they look amazing in setups and you can customize the infinity mirror.

Oh, for sure, I mostly had my eyes set on the 2060 since I wasn't sure if previous gens would be compatible with the Ryzen 3000+ series of CPU. At the moment, pretty much most GPUs that can perform to a "high-end" degree at 100+ framerates are jacked at the price-point. I think one of the concerns I've had with GPUs, although irrational to a degree, is the fear of buyer's remorse (i.e. "Fuck, why did I slouch for a previous-gen rather than spending a more on a recent-release?).

That's interesting since I figured that the stock case would be good on itself for cooling and sound suppression from the fans. (Although liquid cooling is incredibly sexy, ngl.)

definitely should focus on a 3600 rather than the 3600x, you can just overclock it manually and for budget, being able to cheap out on 50 bucks if it can be done would be a missed opportunity
