As far as I've seen, 1769 has been doing just fine. The monthly rule suggestions and implementation was a good idea.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, everyone can be an "assistant". The whole objective behind the monthly rule discussion was to allow people to give him some general ideas and see what passes and what doesn't.

Even if we were to replace 1769, I don't have anyone in mind. No one particularly stands out and most of the GA/SA candidates are well, not exactly, to the point I'd trust them with this. The Lenny faces, top kek, rekt binds just scream: I'm a child.

Everything you do as a staff member directly represent this group, which is why we've (or I've) shifted focus on certain criteria vs others.

Good enough.
But why not hold a vote anyway to give you an idea of who the community thinks would make a good manager?
If they pick someone that you outright disprove of, then ignore it. If you think the person they pick could be a good person for the job, test them or look into them more to see if you approve.
But either way, at least then you would have a system where opinions are heard and everyone is at least satisfied with that much.

Food for thought

Or maybe they scream "I'm here to have fun and not be a tryhard asshole arrogant piece of shit", but whatever your narrow road says.
Anyway, if majority wants him out, then he said it himself he'll gladly resign. Besides, it's not like this is some big thing that will break sg forever, it's just the ability to change jb rules. What's the worst that could happen? Come on Asu.

Based on what Asu said now resigning would only be an option now if he found someone better. I'll suggest some other people to him I think would be good if he ever wants me replaced. Sure anyone is capable of editing rules, but there is a little bit more to that than what meets the eye. So if people really really don't like me and there is actually someone better that Asu's ok with I will resign.

Good enough.

So you think I'm doing a good job but you want me removed to "try other people"? That's kind of contradictory. First of all, what am I doing wrong that makes it so someone else needs to be manager. Second why not tell me what I can do better instead of just firing me off so quick? Listening to others is a very important part of this position and I've done that well so far. Third, all I do really is edit the rules based on what the community wants. Very few if any decisions are based purely off of my own insticnt/opinion so my question is what would a new manager do? Make more instinctive decsions? Because that doesn't sound like a good idea. Sure if you don't like me as manager that's that, but what will replacing me in a position that almost doesn't need to exist do?

I don't understand why you need to be replaced and what happens when your replaced and someone does a terrible job.

Well, it's a community representative role.
I'd rather have someone who I can trust and is a great guy and friend be the one in charge of forging rules instead of somebody I don't know/like. That's just simple logic.
This is where that inactive card comes in. If I'm some shrub on jb just playing, and there's this guy told to be making the rules but we never see him (sorry white this is sounding like religion), isn't that like, annoying? I don't know the mind of the average little mac (jolt haymaker to victory) but I think it's safe to say happy is the last thing they'll be, especially if a change happens they dislike.

Don't mind this jack the ripper I have tied up here.
Yes, @JackTheRipper would be the perfect spot for such a role (and I'm sure the community agrees) he's active, friendly, and doesn't have lenny binds (@Asu ). He's definitely a community representative of the goodmin side, and especially the guywhostillwantstohavefun...min...thing... listen the point is if anybody could be a representative for jb it's Jack.

Seriously though little mac you're not a fucking air fighter holy shit.

Dic, I feel like this whole problem with 1769 is because he wanted you to be forum banned or whatever, and you even contacted me about him being corrupt. You're trying to get him fired. It's getting slightly out of hand. As far as this goes, not a terrible idea, but the fact is that you're doing it for the wrong reasons. All the wrong reasons. You're a little sore at him, so you're biased, many of the things that you think are making him "bad" in your eyes are simply subjective and basically never were even bad. I think that this vote is great, but for the wrong reasons it has been started.

Sort of, personally, I think you are doing a good job, You have improved the system of rule making with your innovations. Voting each month is helpful, and you have kept the rules simple and short. The part that I am suggesting isn't for you to be replaced, its to ask the community to vote on applicants for the role. If you are "voted in" again, then it just crushes the opposition and makes everyone trust you more naturally. Democracy and republics are trust systems, if you vote in the person, or even vote against him and he wins, you still trust him more just because the majority trusts him. True some people's opinions never change, but it does help in the long run.

You have to admit, trust is a very important part of this system, if nobody or few people trusted you then you wouldn't get many people talking to you or voicing their opinions in an organised and civil way.
That is the main reason why I believe that "voting in" candidates for Asu to review and decide over is a good compromise to just spec deciding or to majority rule.

This is more of, to me at least, now just a discussion on weather or not we should remain a monarchy with Asu as the deciding, checking, and balancing factor. Or if we should turn into a constitutional monarchy where we "choose" people and Asu reviews them. Personally, I think it may relieve a lot of tension but create a little as the process goes on. Overall it would help SG's cohesion problem and make us all a bit more of a trusting community.

I feel very honored to be described in such a good light. But I do want to make it clear, I don't want to do these votes in the intent for myself to be voted in. If Asu told me that I was the new manager I would do it, or if the community voted me in I would do the job as well. But I will not actively pursue that role, unless a majority, or Asu believes that I could and should do it.

This isn't some presidential spot, it's only a title and the ability to edit the rules. Plus what can you do that 1769 can't? All he does is make changes to the rules based on what we suggest. And that's all we need.

The Lenny faces, top kek, rekt binds just scream: I'm a child.
lol.
