Im Composing a hand made list of the biggest games in history that made a major impact on gaming.I would like to see what you guys would like to add and reasoning behind it.(These are not in order from 1-100 or whatever neiter one is better than the other, they just have their own pull on gaming).
List:
0.5.Pong(It wins over everything, its fucking pong)
1.Tetris(Obvious reasoning it's a gateway game, and was the biggest of its time.)
2.Mario Franchise(Same as tetris everyone grew up playing it and it is one of the biggest grossing games of all time)
3.Pacman(For same reasonings but also applied to arcade systems more and just a legend of a game)
4.World Of WarCraft(WoW) (Just Overall the gateway game too mmorpg's and just a hugely popular game)
5.Minecraft (Has 71 million copies sold over 16 different consoles, teaches children basic shapes and building aspects and just overall an amazing game which we all have played. and loved most likely.)
The Next Couple games are due to creating the huge esports scene we have today.
5.Dota/League (Im more of a league man myself but they are both identical in aspects, they marked a huge point in gaming history with Moba's and just competitive gameplay)
6.StarCraft Franchise (not to familiar with this myself but definitely a big game title that inflicted gaming positively )
7. Counter Strike: Source/Counter Strike: Global Offensive (Its Csgo What else must I say, its got leaked about 37~million copies sold on steam and is a massive Fps game with average 425,000 accounts logged on at any given time larger than any other game in the world if im not mistaken)
These games here are my personal picks that I think influenced a shit ton of people over gaming but arent in the numbers wise.
8.Runescape (Just the community behind runescape is huge, or was. The game was another huge gateway towards mmorpg's along side blizzard'd WoW)
9.Call Of Duty Franchise( I understand the hate behind the community but arguably we have all played Cod before and probably enjoyed it older or newer versions. I personally played it alot growing up and so have millions of teenagers so this is why i think it should be on the list it opened the eyes of many towards fps games)
10.Doom(Just an amazing game that many people have cherished over the years and its molded the body for so many amazing games)
11.Halo 1-4 (its a franchise that get amazing prowess to there games on xbox, i personally dont play them nor have i really ever played them but in my experience of watching lists of biggest games of all time halo is almost a gateway game to gaming and made a huge footprint on gaming.
12.Fifa Franchise( I have never played these games but I know they are huge compared to others and people love it so im just gonna throw it in there)
Well these are the only ones im coming up with right now and its 10pm right now and im quite tired so my grammar is off in this post very horrendously and i cant think of any others at the time of this post. Please leave some down below and why and ill slap myself later for not thinking about it.
