New Server Rules (Work in Progress)

I'm not gonna go through and find every little detail you changed just because you can't use colours or other indicators.
But, I've read what other people have said, and it looks like a no from me. Most of these rules are what you want, not what everybody wants. And considering you're a shitty warden already, if rules cater towards you being even more shitty, then jb just wont become fun anymore (I mean whenever you're on I can't find any fun anyway because your ego blocks it all out).
I know he'll just dismiss this as 'salty dic' or some other dumb term you guys keep coming up with, but, there's my opinion.

Umbra is very beloved on the Jailbreak server, and honestly is one of the best wardens that the server has and he honestly does have a point about these rules. The arguments on what can and can't be done have gotten me killed several times on the server. These rules are not going to suck the fun out of the game but are instead going to help improve the game as a whole since people will not be dying due to admins constantly bickering about the rules. We honestly need these rules. Do they need some revision? Yes. Are they good for the game? Definitely.

This is not a good way to look on things. Trickery and deceit will get a hold of you if you think this is true. And the only time I'd listen to something you say (in this circumstance, in game, I'd trust you to an extent.), is if Asu was to formally come out and say those "rules" are real rules and should be enforced. But alas, they aren't shown in any part of the rules, therefore they aren't rules.

No one is going to be 100% happy with the rules, and unlike the admins on this thread, the people playing JB not only enjoy Umbra, but his rules that he's trying to get confirmed.

Also about this, he was playing in jeopardy earlier, and suprisingly enough, he got a question right by being a smart aleck. And he made people vote "Yes" to this poll so they can live. (@Midnightwolf_180)

Most of the rules I have added are what the majority of players want, with you being in the minority.

I'm always the minority, used to it.

The only reason why rules get bickered is because of wardens. Oh, look who's a warden!

I stand by my statement, in the end, it's the players who are helpless who suffer, because admins can not be on all the time, and when they do, there is always confusion because one admin says one thing, another states another.

Just because 'you' do not find certain things fun, does not mean it's not fun for others. Sorry if me being a Warden did not give you a chance to play the minigames YOU wanted to play or gave YOU a chance to rebel.

Is it so wrong that I wanted to put a stop to it? Is it wrong that I wanted to end all the pointless bitching and arguing over rules? All I did was try to clear things up, and if that makes me a bad guy, then so be it, I would rather be a bad guy. I didn't do this to make friends, I didn't do this to help me become an admin, I did this because it NEEDED to be done. Yourself and Beast so far have let your own personal opinions of me blind yourself on what the point of this whole thing is for, the community, not me, not you, but everyone as a whole.

Umbra: But it's all well and good for them, they have the power to kick/ban/mute whoever does them or anyone wrong on the server in their opinion. Not us people with no power who have to suffer through the shit because of the rules being so damn unclear.

The rules are perfectly clear, it's not our fault that people interpret them differently (to get strange kills, for example, oh look that's done by wardens, huh) and adding MORE rules will not help that in any way shape or form.

The admins fighting keep getting people killed for no reason and so do the rules, just go on the servers and ask people if they want the new rules. Most likely they will say yes, unless they are new to the server and have not seen the lack of clarification within the rules as a whole and how it affects people playing the game. So please stop having a hate party towards Umbra as a person and start thinking about the server as a whole. Also many other people like Dr. Luigi win at jeopardy by being smart alecks all the time

Umbra is strict but fair, these rules are 100% fair and in now way, "Making the game boring." They're clearing confusion and are very much helpful. Umbra is well known and liked on the jailbreak server, and is one of the best blues because his knowledge of the rules surpasseses admins rule knowledge. These rules are very much organized not that the old one wasnt, but these ones are so well organized it takes almost no reading to find what you're looking for because the headings are well done with the organization. Can they use some fixing? Yes they can and Umbra even said so himself. Some people have said no to these rules with no valid reasons just shows you're scared of change, and you're ignorant. Change is good and this can very much help us in the future not get caught up on rules as Umbra on his own time thought up every unwritten rule and written rule. Thanks Umbra!

This got stupid pretty quick (like every other thread involving something that isn't useless). Cough cough "How to get even gooder at CSGO" and "ROAR".

Firstly.
@Dic Soupcan, there's no need to reply in such a manner that has the potential to antagonize other readers. The sarcastic tone isn't being taken as a joke. Someone's taken the initiative to submit their draft of rules, clearing up some areas and lessening the time spent arguing/debating over small things. This was something you had difficulty with before your month or two long leave. There are ways to disagree without holding a knife to someone's throat.

For everyone else, be objective for what allows for a more autonomous and fun server. Lessening the reliance on the admin presence is a plus.

Secondly and completely irrelevant to the first point, but whatever. After having skimmed over it, changes are not all that drastic. Most are clarifications and examples. A few people have also talked about changing the armory rule. But that's for another time, when we can introduce that change more gradually if it gets implemented. Examples can certainly help clear up different interpretations. It may also help to make the header of each rule be somewhat descriptive as opposed to the a specific term.

For example:
No killing without reason
Usually referred as Freekilling
You are not allowed to kill REDs

Thirdly, these kind of threads were intended to gather people who can be objective about a subject and speak their thoughts. This is the whole point of the forum, or else we'd just have a Wordpress blog and a couple of info page and call it a day.

oh yes this provides a valid reason for voting no. Did you even ask people what they wanted? These rules will not make the game less fun because as Asu stated earlier they are merely modifications of the rules already in place. So please, bring something other than insults to the table. <3

My reasoning is closer really, in a different post, but, no, I don't tend to ask what the people want. I used to, but, people's thoughts usually tend to be selfish (I mean who can blame them) and not exactly what they want, as they're put on the spot. It's the same reasoning you don't self-lawyer. On the spot you can't clearly think of what exactly you want, or want to say. You have any idea how hard it is managing a jailbreak server? Especially when you got people like Umbra, who make your job 10x as hard, and get an angry mob against you? Then you want to stack a pile more rules that I have to shove through people's brains 20 times for them to even be noticed? You guys clearly have no idea what the job of an admin entails, so stop acting like you fucking do.

At least he had the time to go through it instead of bullshitting his way through an argument without even knowing what he's arguing against, simply because you dislike me, and that's all is.
